Merge PDF files

Combine multiple PDFs into one. Add files in the order you want them; the merge runs locally with no upload.

First run downloads the conversion engine (about 4 MB) once, then it is cached.

What each tool does

Images → PDF turns JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP and other pictures into one PDF. PDF → Images renders every page as a JPG or PNG. Merge joins PDFs in order, Split extracts pages or ranges, Compress re-encodes the pictures inside a PDF to shrink it, PDF → Text pulls out the text layer, and PDF → Word rebuilds it as an editable .docx with the pictures in place.

Why local processing matters for PDFs

PDFs often contain contracts, bank statements, IDs and medical records. fileio builds and restructures PDFs with a Rust engine compiled to WebAssembly and renders pages with pdf.js, entirely inside your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a file size or page limit?

No. Since everything runs on your device, the only limit is your browser memory. Hundreds of pages are fine.
