HEIC to JPG for iPhone photos
Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC. It is a great format, but Windows, older Android phones, many upload forms and most printers cannot read it.
Convert HEIC to JPG in one step
Drop the HEIC files into the Image Converter, choose JPG and click Convert. The decoding happens in your browser with a WebAssembly build of libheif, so the photos are never uploaded. You can convert dozens at once and download a ZIP.
JPG or PNG?
JPG for photos you will share or upload: small and universal. PNG only if you need lossless output for editing. Quality defaults to 100 so nothing visible is lost; lower it under Advanced options to shrink files.
Stop the iPhone shooting HEIC
Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. Or keep HEIC (it saves space) and turn on Settings → Photos → Transfer to Mac or PC → Automatic, which converts on export.

Frequently asked questions
Does HEIC to JPG lose quality?
JPG is lossy, but at quality 100 the difference is invisible. HEIC itself is also lossy, so you are not losing an original.
